Midsummer is a Swedish manufacturer of lightweight, flexible, and silicon-free thin-film solar panels based on CIGS technology. Our durable modules combine an ultra-low carbon footprint with low weight, high recyclability, and a discreet design. They are manufactured using 100% renewable energy and are used globally across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

Our product portfolio includes the BOLD, SLIM, and WAVE solar modules, developed for integration with virtually all types of roofing materials and surfaces. At only 2 mm thick and approximately 3 kg/m², the panels can be installed without penetrating the roof and are particularly suitable for buildings and structures with limited load-bearing capacity. Their lightweight and flexible design also enables applications beyond conventional rooftops, including floating solar installations and mobile solutions.

Through our manufacturing and offtake ecosystem, Midsummer is building a distributed, linearly scalable global manufacturing network. The ecosystem gives partners access to Midsummer’s proprietary and proven production technology, enabling them to move up the technology value chain by establishing local advanced manufacturing capabilities. Partners also benefit from pooled sourcing of raw materials and components to reduce bill-of-materials costs, together with access to global offtake opportunities and support in developing export markets. This model enables local manufacturing to scale efficiently while remaining connected to a broader international supply and commercial network.
