Swedfund is Sweden’s development finance institution (DFI), owned by the Swedish state. Our mission is to reduce poverty through sustainable investments and early-stage project development that contribute to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the Paris Agreement. Through our work, we support sustainable economic development, create opportunities for decent jobs, and improve access to essential services and infrastructure.

In addition to investments in the private sector, Swedfund supports the development of sustainable public infrastructure through the Swedfund Project Accelerator. By providing technical assistance and project preparation support, we help public sector partners move projects from concept to implementation in areas such as clean energy, sustainable transport, digital infrastructure, healthcare, and circular solutions.

Through partnerships with public and private stakeholders, Swedfund contributes to the development of bankable and sustainable projects that can attract long-term financing and deliver lasting development impact.
