“Letters from America” is a twelve-month road trip podcast by Swedish photographer, musician and journalist Martin Waern, exploring Swedish heritage across the United States. A coast-to-coast journey celebrating the 250th anniversary of American independence through weekly episodes with interviews from both well-known and everyday voices. Sprinkled with daily social posts capturing the mishaps, fortunes, lucky breaks, wrong turns, and perfect mornings—and everything in between.

The concept is simple: One man (and a dog), one car, one caravan, and one unforgettable journey. A lone traveler crossing from New Sweden, Maine, to the Pacific Coast and back, on a quest to uncover the story of “Swedish America.”
