High-Level Report Launch Event - The Future Starts Today

Saturday November 14, 2026 14:00 - 14:40 +03 The Swedish pavilion - Open for public

Exhibitor: United Nations Secretary-General's Youth Advisory Group on Climate Change

Category: Unleashing enablers (Finance, tech and Capacity building)

This session launches the report “The Future Starts Today - What young people contribute to the UN climate agenda and what makes it possible” together with key partners.

The report comes at a timely moment. In 2027, a new UN Secretary-General will take office during a time of geopolitical tensions, challenges to international law, and budget cuts. There is a real risk that climate change slips down the agenda of the UN leadership in this transition. What “The Future Starts Today” shows is that climate action is already happening at all levels and that the UN Secretary-General and other world leaders have played a key role in enabling this. It tells the story of how impact comes out of intergenerational collaboration, where everyone is treated as an actor, not only beneficiary, in steering towards the future we want. This is why The Future Starts Today.
