Mexico-Sweden high-level delegation and business forum: Innovating a sustainable future
Mexico and Sweden have mutual ambitions to collaborate and innovate to drive sustainable growth across key industry and business sectors.
Between the 12th - 14th March 2024, there will be a high-level delegation to Mexico as part of the State Visit.
During the State Visit and delegation, we will host a business forum with the ambition to deepen the existing strong bilateral relations and contribute to a closer collaboration between Mexican and Swedish businesses.
As part of this high-level delegation, Business Sweden is coordinating a business agenda to promote stronger business and investment opportunities between Sweden and Mexico. The focus areas of this delegation are sustainability and connectivity in mobility, life sciences, mining, and manufacturing.
Swedish companies are increasingly recognising Mexico's advantageous strategic location and growing economy. The country has become a key trade and investment partner with a large-cross section of Swedish companies establishing a presence or expanding operations there.
The growing trade relationship between Sweden and Mexico also provides ample opportunities for further cooperation and mutual benefit. With Sweden's strong tradition of innovation and sustainability and Mexico's growing demand for state-of-the-art technologies and environmentally friendly solutions, there is significant potential for Swedish companies to make a positive impact in the Mexican market.
Mexico's economic momentum: global player and manufacturing hub
With its vibrant economy and vast population, Mexico stands as a key player in the Latin American market and on the global stage. Its position as Latin America's second-largest market and the world's fifteenth-largest economy demonstrates its potential.
In recent years, Mexico has gained prominence as an attractive destination for companies seeking to optimise their manufacturing footprint. With its strategic geographical location and strong trade relations, particularly with the United States, Mexico offers a compelling opportunity for companies looking to enhance their position in North America.
