Swedish-Dutch Industry Networking Forum

The Nordic region is renowned for its leadership in fossil-free energy, with countries in this area pioneering sustainable energy production since the early 20th century. Smart energy is set to be the driving force behind future industry, transport, and society. Sweden stands as a global leader in knowledge, investment, and innovation within the smart energy sector. Swedish solutions for energy storage, sustainable production, and distribution are paving the way for a greener future.

Sweden and the Netherlands are at the forefront of developing smart, sustainable energy solutions, including battery production, wind power, solar energy, and hydrogen technology. Swedish technologies are also integrated into smart grids to optimise the use of renewable energy. Additionally, Swedish innovations in heating and cooling are helping to meet increased global energy demands, from the UK to the Middle East.

In November, Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Reinette Klever will visit Sweden on one of her first trips abroad, accompanied by a business delegation of companies interested in meeting their Swedish counterparts. Dutch companies have significant potential to collaborate with Sweden on technological innovation, research, and knowledge exchange in the energy sector.

The Swedish-Dutch Industry Networking Forum features a programme designed to inspire and foster collaboration and innovation in the energy sector. During this forum, Swedish and Dutch companies will have the opportunity to establish and develop new contacts with companies, organisations, and research institutes. The forum will also include:

  • Keynote Speeches: Hear from government representatives and industry leaders, including keynote addresses by officials from both the Swedish and Dutch governments, as well as insights from InnoEnergy, a key player in sustainable energy innovation.

  • Industry Case Studies: Learn from detailed case studies that showcase successful examples of collaboration and industrial symbiosis, where different industries collaborate to achieve greater efficiency and sustainability.

  • Interactive Discussion with Industry Organisations: Engage in an interactive discussion with leading industry organisations. This session will provide a platform for exchanging ideas, addressing challenges, and exploring opportunities for future collaboration.

Reception

After the forum, guests are invited to stay for a networking reception hosted by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. This reception will be held at the Residence and will include drinks and a buffet-style dinner. It will provide an excellent opportunity for guests to network and meet counterparts from the Netherlands and Sweden in the energy ecosystem in a more informal and relaxed setting. The reception will also see the official inauguration of the Netherlands Foreign Invest Agency’s new Nordics office, based in Stockholm.
