Sweden-U.S. Innovation Summit in Washington D.C.
Celebrating 250 years of partnership and shaping the next era of collaboration
We are pleased to invite you to join Sweden's upcoming Sweden-U.S. Innovation Summit in Washington D.C. on 27-28 May 2026, uniting top leaders from business, policy, research, and investment to celebrate 250+ years of partnership and ignite the next wave of innovation, growth, and cross‑sector collaboration between our two nations.
The Innovation Summit is also part of Sweden’s Commemoration of the 250th Anniversary of U.S. Independence.
Why join the Innovation Summit?
As the flagship event of Sweden’s program, marking the 250th anniversary of American independence, the Summit brings together senior leaders from government, industry and academia to advance collaboration in strategic innovation domains. This year’s Summit also coincides with the 100th anniversary of the U.S. congressional tribute to Swedish‑American inventor John Ericsson, whose pioneering propeller powered the USS Monitor, symbolizing a long tradition of shared innovation between our nations.
The U.S. and Sweden share a strong and deeply integrated economic and innovation relationship. Held at the heart of U.S. decision-making, the Summit provides a high-impact platform to engage key stakeholders, showcase capabilities and expand cooperation in areas critical to future competitiveness and prosperity.
The Summit offers a unique opportunity not only to participate but to help shape the agenda and position your organization within U.S.–Sweden collaboration. Designed to deliver clear business value, Day 1 features keynote opportunities, curated panels, success‑case presentations, an interactive Innovation Gallery, and the gala dinner. Day 2 continues with curated site visits and strategic roundtables with leading U.S. stakeholders, enabling concrete follow‑ups beyond the Summit.
