
Expansion opportunities for Swedish battery technology companies – Delegation to Battery Show Europe in Stuttgart, June 8–11, 2026

The Swedish Energy Agency and Business Sweden invite Swedish companies to participate in a Swedish delegation visiting the Battery Show Europe in Stuttgart. The delegation is part of the Swedish Energy Agency's work to promote the Swedish battery value chain and is organized in collaboration with Business Sweden. Its main goal is to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the battery value chain in their market entry in Germany and Europe.
Germany is one of the world's most important markets for electrification, energy storage, and related value chains. Through the delegation, participants gain access to German industry partners, innovation environments, potential customers, cluster organizations, and investors - with the goal of creating concrete business opportunities and partnerships.
Purpose & goal
The overall goal is to promote Swedish business and strengthen the sustainable battery value chain trough internationalization. The delegation's objectives is threefold: to increase exports by initiating contacts with relevant German customers and partners; to facilitate investments into innovative Swedish companies; and to market Sweden as an attractive investment destination within the battery value chain.
Who can apply?
Target group
Swedish companies, focusing on SMEs operating in the Swedish battery value chain (such as battery materials and battery chemistries, safety issues, diagnostics and measurement, battery control and use, and recycling and reuse) with clear growth and export ambitions in the German market.
Requirements
• A scalable technology or solution with clear customer benefits.
• Sufficient human and financial resources to drive internationalization.
• A concrete interest in develop activities in Germany.
Expectations on delegates
The delegates are expected to have an active participation throughout the delegation programme. This includes preparing presentation materials, to have a clear objective for participation and the capacity to participate in follow-up business dialogues.
Financing and costs:
The Swedish Energy Agency funds the development and implementation of the programme and the delegation. Participating companies are responsible for covering their own travel and accommodation expenses, as well as any admission fees to the trade fair.
