SE|UK Defence and Security Industry Day Registration

On 12th September 2024, Business Sweden (the Swedish Trade and Invest Council) in close collaboration with the Embassy of Sweden in the United Kingdom, ADS Group, the Swedish Security & Defence Industry Association (SOFF) and Saab UK have the great pleasure of inviting you to the inaugural SE | UK Defence and Security Industry Day. 

With the Strategic Partnership between Sweden and the UK signed in 2023 and Sweden’s recent accession to NATO, there is now  a recognised desire to enhance defence and security collaboration between our two countries and ecosystems. The event programme is tailored for defence and security companies with ambitions to reach their full market potential in Europe's largest defence spending market, the UK - as well as for British companies with an interest in the Swedish market.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

The SE | UK Defence and Security Industry Day is arranged with a clear objective of facilitating business dialogues and encouraging collaboration amongst Swedish and British stakeholders. As a participant, you can expect:  

• Facilitated business meetings and networking with key SE and UK buyers from the private and public sector
• A panel discussion dedicated to SE | UK Defence Collaboration and Innovation in a Changing Security Landscape, with a Q&A opportunity with UK and Swedish policy and industry representatives, outlining current and upcoming priorities and opportunities, at the Residence of H.E. Mr Ambassador Stefan Gullgren 
• An opportunity to network, including with key customers and prospects, during dedicated parts of the programme

All activities aim to drive tangible business growth and collaboration between relevant British and Swedish stakeholders.

PROGRAMME

To strengthen collaboration and business growth between Sweden and the UK, Business Sweden invites you to participate in this business engagement activity on 12th September 2024.

During this daytime event, the delegation of Swedish companies will carry out targeted business meetings, engage in networking discussions with public and private sector buyers, and meet with local stakeholders, including attending a panel discussion and three-course lunch hosted by H.E. Ambassador Stefan Gullgren in the Swedish Residence in Marylebone, London.

Morning Session: 

Business Meetings and Networking

The key activity of the morning session is centered around targeted business meetings and networking for the delegation participants and additional participating UK companies, offering a platform for delegates to engage in focused discussions aimed at fostering collaboration, and exploring potential partnerships.

Location: Swedish Embassy, 11 Montagu Pl, London W1H 2AL (entrance on Upper Montagu St)

Afternoon Session:

SE | UK Defence Collaboration and Innovation 

The key activity of the afternoon is centred around defence and security innovation and bilateral relationship from a trade perspective particularly with regards to the Strategic Partnership between Sweden and the UK. We will hear from government, department and industry representatives on the future of defence and security from a bilateral angle.

• Kindly note that registrations for this event has now closed. 
• Please note that all participants are responsible for booking their own flights and arranging accommodation.
• In order for this event to take place, we are required to request fee contribution from participants. 
  • The fee contribution covers various aspects such as event management, promotional activities and technical support to ensure a successful and engaging experience for all participants (including refreshments and lunch on the day hosted at the Residence of the Swedish Ambassador).
