Webinar: Biogas Opportunities with Team Sweden- Sustainable Transport in West Africa
Over the past few years, Team Sweden has actively collaborated with cities in Côte d'Ivoire and Nigeria to promote innovative and sustainable Swedish transport solutions. These efforts have led to significant milestones:
- 450 Scania biogas buses delivered to Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire
- MoU signed for 2,000 Scania CNG buses (fully biogas-compatible) for Lagos, Nigeria – Africa’s largest city
- 100 biogas buses deployed in Burkina Faso
- Ongoing advanced discussions in Senegal, Cameroon, and other countries
These large-scale deployments are fueling strong demand for biogas production solutions, opening up exciting opportunities for Swedish companies. Team Sweden - including Business Sweden, Swedfund, Näringslivets Internationella Råd (NIR), SIDA, and Scania - is actively engaged and been supporting in creating the enabling environment for such production to happen working closely with local stakeholders.
