Join the Ethiopia-Sweden Business Forum 2025 in Addis Ababa

The Swedish Embassy in Ethiopia, the Ethiopian Embassy in Sweden, the Sweden–Africa Chamber of Commerce (SWEACC), and Business Sweden are pleased to invite Swedish companies to take part in the Ethiopia–Sweden Business Forum 2025, to be held in Addis Ababa on 12–13 November 2025.

This high-level forum will bring together leaders from government, business, and the diaspora to explore new avenues for trade, investment, and innovation between Sweden and Ethiopia. The event will serve as a unique platform for networking, sector dialogue, and concrete matchmaking opportunities with Ethiopian companies, institutions, and investors.

Business between Sweden and Ethiopia

Sweden and Ethiopia share a long history of cooperation. In the 1940s, Sweden supported Ethiopia in establishing its air force, while Swedish engineers, doctors, and educators played vital roles in early infrastructure, health, and education initiatives. Swedish development cooperation in the 1960s and 1970s further deepened ties, focusing on education, healthcare, and rural development.

Today, Swedish companies are recognized in Ethiopia for their innovation, quality, and sustainability, with ongoing cooperation in ICT, energy, manufacturing, and capacity-building. The Ethiopia–Sweden Business Forum 2025 builds on this legacy, offering a renewed platform to deepen partnerships in areas of strategic importance for both nations.

Participation in the Delegation Programme

What’s included:

• Full participation in the delegation programme, including local transportation and meals as outlined in the programme.

What’s not included:

• Flights, accommodation, and transfers/transportation outside the programme. 

Participants are responsible for booking their own flights and accommodation. 
We will provide recommendation on accommodation and arrival/ departure times.
