Semiconductor Delegation to Japan 2026
Join the first ever Swedish semiconductor delegation to Japan - a unique opportunity to gain access and insight to a highly advanced and rapidly evolving ecosystem.
Japan is making a determined push to re‑establish itself as a global leader in semiconductor innovation and manufacturing. Driven by economic security, supply‑chain resilience, green transition and long‑term technological competitiveness, semiconductors are now firmly at the centre of Japan’s industrial policy. Supported by large‑scale public investment and major fab projects across the country, Japan is accelerating efforts in advanced logic, packaging, and high‑reliability applications.
Within this push, Japan is looking beyond its borders for trusted international partners that can complement and strengthen national capabilities. While Japan remains strong in materials and manufacturing, there is growing demand for solutions in areas such as fab efficiency, advanced packaging, yield ramp‑up, and sustainability. Swedish companies, with proven strengths in high‑reliability systems, energy‑efficient technologies, and industrial execution, are well positioned to support these priorities and become long‑term partners in Japan’s semiconductor transformation.
This three-day long delegation aims to offer Swedish companies an opportunity to introduce their solutions to a variety of Japanese stakeholders, including chip manufacturers and research centres. In addition, the delegation will offer unique insights into the Japanese semiconductor ecosystem, offering participants a chance to explore first-hand where the biggest opportunities exist.
