Tania Leppert Speaker

Tania Leppert is the Chief Technology Officer of Ericsson Canada Inc., bringing over 20 years of global experience across North America, Asia, and Europe. She has held leadership roles in R&D, Sales, Strategy, and Product Management, demonstrating a strong blend of technical expertise and strategic vision.
Tania holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University and an MBA from the University of Maastricht. In her current role, she leads initiatives in Mission-Critical Networks, Security, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and other key national programs, driving innovation and technological advancement in Canada.
Carlos Michin Speaker

Carlos Michin has taken part in the BAE Systems Hägglunds team since early 2011 as regional director for Latin America, since 2014 adding Canada and finally since 2019 the entire American continent. Carlos responsibility is to market the Hägglunds vehicle portfolio of vehicles and support and develop aftermarkets opportunities. Besides operations in own region Carlos has led some of the domestic campaigns regarding Specific to Role BvS10 and supported focus campaigns in other markets.
Carlos served 20 years in the Swedish Army both in artillery and armoured units.
With experience from Sweden and UN operations in Bosnia and Liberia the knowledge about Hägglunds vehicles has been enhanced with experience in using and maintaining equipment under logistical challenges and under various climatological circumstances.
Carlos graduated from Krigsskolan Karlberg’s 205th officers’ course and graduated as Major in 2004 with special award by H.M The King of Sweden.
Carlos speaks Swedish, English, Spanish, Portuguese and German. He lives with his fiancé and daughter in northern Sweden and enjoys alpine and Nordic skiing, travel and barbecuing.
Andrew Service Speaker
Manager, Strategy and Business Development
GDLS-Canada
Andrew Service is the Manager for Strategy and Business Development for General Dynamics Land Systems–Canada responsible for the Canadian market, appointed in May 2023.
Mr. Service’s responsibilities in this role include building trusted customer relations, developing a detailed understanding of the Canadian Armed Forces security priorities and defence requirements, and promoting the company’s range of combat-proven technologies, platforms and services. Mr. Service works with GDLS teams (Program, Engineering, Supply Chain, Production and Sustainment) across the organization to inform customer requirements and position GDLS’s products and services for future new business opportunities. Andrew is based in London, Ontario,
Canada.
Mr. Service brings to this position more than 25 years of experience in the defense industry.
Prior to his current role, Andrew was the Project Engineering Manager for GDLS-C’s USMC, US Army Stryker, FMS and International contracts. In this position, he managed the development and test of our most networked, light weight and digitally advanced platform; this platform was selected by the USMC for the ARV program. Andrew was previously the Program Manager for the Canadian LAV UP Program from the Definition phase through to the LORIT extension. Previous to that, Andrew was posted in South Africa and held Engineering and Program Management positions on the MRAP program.
Mr. Service has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and is a Professional Engineer in Ontario, Canada. Mr. Service volunteered as a Member of the Board of Directors for Junior Achievement Canada for 5 years. In summer months, Andrew, his spouse and daughter enjoy boating throughout the Great Lakes.
