Aerobase Innovations AB builds physics-based material models and simulation software for the automotive, aerospace and manufacturing industries. We turn laboratory tests and process data into validated models that predict how steel, aluminium and composites behave during forming, welding, casting and additive manufacturing, and then in a crash. Engineering teams run the models inside the solvers they already use: LS-DYNA, OpenRadioss, PAM-CRASH and Abaqus.

SafeLight gives crash and CAE teams calibrated failure models for advanced high-strength steel, aluminium (including high-pressure die castings) and composites. Phases predicts microstructure and properties through hot stamping, welding and heat treatment, and its AI agent at phases.aerobase.se runs those simulations from a browser. Caliber covers test planning, calibration and validation. Aerobase is a 2020 spin-off from Luleå University of Technology with 10 commercial customers in Sweden, the United States and Brazil, and takes part in seven Horizon Europe projects, among them CiSMA, FlexCrash, GEAR-UP, UPBEAT, ALABAMA, RESTORE and GENMAT.

In Canada we want to meet automotive and mobility suppliers, makers of battery enclosures and body structures, casting houses and research organisations. We can help now with crash performance of battery enclosures and pack structures, hot-stamped body structures where the forming history is carried into the crash model, and structural castings where local property variation decides where the part fails. A first meeting takes 30 minutes: describe a part and a material problem, and we show whether our models already cover it.
