Food systems commitments form an integral part of a comprehensive global response to climate change, ensuring a resilient and nourished future for all. This session will specifically: 

  • Explore the importance of food systems within global climate discussions and negotiations  

  • Discuss how international agreements integrate food system considerations, their successes and shortcomings 

  • Showcase examples of countries that are successfully aligning their national policies with a more systemic thinking around food systems, emphasizing the potential role of radical policy shifts in achieving such alignment. 

  • Highlight the role of actionable commitments and tangible pathways in driving the sustainable transformation of food systems 

  • Examine policies and policy-enabling frameworks that promote sustainable food systems fit for the future.
