Accelerating energy efficiency is one of the most effective strategies to reduce global emissions. At COP28, countries committed to increasing annual progress from two to four percent by 2030. Yet current data shows that improvements remain just above one percent, highlighting the gap between ambition and reality. 

This session brings together decision makers from government, industry, finance and international organizations to focus on scaling up solutions that are already available and proven. Strengthening collaboration between public and private actors is essential to accelerate implementation and achieve impact at the pace and scale required. 

What are the key levers for unlocking faster progress? How can policy, finance and industry align to remove barriers and drive collective action? And what must happen now to ensure energy efficiency delivers on its full potential?
