This COP30 roundtable will spotlight the Hidden Middle, the critical segment of the food value chain spanning from farm gate to consumer. Often overlooked, this segment holds immense potential for delivering food security, affordability, social stability, economic growth, and climate resilience.

Despite its high return on investment, the Hidden Middle remains underfunded and underprioritized. Urgent policy and financial action are needed to unlock its full potential.

This session will convene key stakeholders from the public, private, and financial sectors to identify concrete pathways for scaling proven, high-impact solutions that decarbonize food systems and reduce food loss and waste.
