The Swedish-Thai Sustainability Talk Stage and Networking Reception
The Embassy of Sweden together with Business Sweden and Thai-Swedish Chamber of Commerce will organise “Swedish-Thai Sustainable Forum: A Circular Future, From Industry to Home” within the Sustainability Expo 2025 on 2 October 2025 at 15:30 – 17:20 hrs. (Thailand time) in Conference Room 208-209, on the 2nd floor of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre.
This is an exclusive opportunity to hear from experienced speakers representing five of Sweden's leading companies: Alfa Laval, Candela, Electrolux, IKEA, and Tetra Pak. They will share their unique experiences, visions, and journeys in implementing circular business models, demonstrating how sustainability is not just a policy but a core driver of innovation and competitiveness. This platform facilitates the exchange of knowledge and best practices among Thai and Swedish stakeholders, exploring potential cooperation for a more sustainable future.
The event will uncover the knowledge of 58-year journey, since passing the world's first Environmental Protection Act in 1967, that Sweden has systematically developed a comprehensive national action plan for a circular economy. This forward-thinking strategy focuses on key areas like sustainable production, consumption, and innovation, with the ambition of becoming a global leader in circular material flows. This systematic and collaborative approach has made Sweden a living laboratory for scalable, sustainable solutions—the very innovations you will hear about from our speakers. The Forum will be conducted in English.
Visitors are also invited to experience the theme of a Circular Future, From Industry to Home at the “Sweden Pavilion”, located at G Floor, Entrance 3, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre from 26 September to 5 October 2025. The pavilion will showcase Sweden's innovative research and provide concrete examples of sustainable practices from Swedish companies operating in Thailand.
