Enifer Bio work to create a better future utilizing fewer natural resources, with a focus in perfecting the production process for PEKILO mycoprotein, a form of single-cell protein derived from fungi. Their new product competes in the high-value protein concentrate and isolate markets in animal nutrition. Using the molecular level of control afforded by modern biotechnology, they have optimized the production on a wide variety of by-products from diverse industries and geographies. Most recently, they started a project to bring to market a novel sustainable aquaculture feed protein ingredient as an alternative to soy protein concentrate that is currently being used.
