Ben Morris is the Senior Vice President and Head of Syntronic Research & Development Canada, a position he has held since November 2024. In this role, he oversees Syntronic's Canadian operations, driving innovation and strategic growth across the company's three Canadian offices, located in Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal.
With over 20 years of experience in technology strategy, business development, and operational leadership, Ben has a proven track record of mentoring and scaling tech ventures from inception to maturity. Prior to joining Syntronic, he served in various senior roles at Wesley Clover International including Vice President of Corporate Development and Technology Strategies, Vice President of Business Development, and Vice President of Sales. His tenure at Wesley Clover spanned from 2007 to 2024, during which he also served on several boards and investment committees, including Alacrité France, Alacrity Turkey, and HYAS.
Ben is an active leader in Ottawa's tech ecosystem. He currently serves as Chairperson and Board Member of the Kanata North Business Association, representing over 550 companies in the region. He is also a Board Member at Thrive Career Wellness Platform and Pisano. His leadership extends to roles at Algonquin College's PAC Board and as Vice-Chair of the Kanata North Business Association.
A passionate advocate for technological advancement, Ben has been instrumental in integrating AI into Syntronic's operations. Under his leadership, the company is implementing AI-assisted manufacturing processes in Ottawa, aiming to enhance efficiency and productivity across its engineering services. He emphasizes the importance of data integrity and client intellectual property protection in the era of AI-driven innovation.
