With the new global climate finance goal in place, the challenge is no longer about setting targets — it is about mobilizing enough of the right kind of finance and ensuring that it supports real transformation on the ground.

Despite growing climate awareness, a critical paradox persists: people care deeply about the planet, yet struggle to translate that concern into consistent, meaningful action. The gap between intention and impact is one of the greatest challenges facing the sustainability movement.In this session, we’ll explore the strategies and tools that bridge the gap between awareness and action - using behavioral science, financial literacy and intuitive design to help individuals build sustainable habits. 

This event explores how the lessons from Sweden’s reforestation journey can inspire global action. 

Organised by: Act Church of Sweden, Swedish Society for Nature Conservation, and The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation. The focus on reducing emissions has too often overlooked the needs of those most affected by climate change. Women and gender-diverse people are often excluded from climate policy decisions and implementation, despite that climate change is worsening gender inequalities and gender-based violence.

This session will convene key stakeholders from the public, private, and financial sectors to identify concrete pathways for scaling proven, high-impact solutions that decarbonize food systems and reduce food loss and waste.

In alignment with the COP30 presidency’s emphasis on practical implementation, this panel will showcase key milestones in hydrogen-powered gas turbine technology in Brazil and Sweden that demonstrate real-world progress and lay the groundwork for global replication and scaling of hydrogen solutions.
