Despite growing climate awareness, a critical paradox persists: people care deeply about the planet, yet struggle to translate that concern into consistent, meaningful action. The gap between intention and impact is one of the greatest challenges facing the sustainability movement.In this session, we’ll explore the strategies and tools that bridge the gap between awareness and action - using behavioral science, financial literacy and intuitive design to help individuals build sustainable habits.

This event explores how the lessons from Sweden’s reforestation journey can inspire global action. 

The ancient chinampas of Xochimilco are a proven, circular model for food security, inequality reduction, women empowerment, and climate resilience. They presuppose a living testament to a worldview where humanity and nature exist in symbiotic harmony. This session explores how to regenerate them structurally and for the long term.

Organised by: Act Church of Sweden, Swedish Society for Nature Conservation, and The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation. The focus on reducing emissions has too often overlooked the needs of those most affected by climate change. Women and gender-diverse people are often excluded from climate policy decisions and implementation, despite that climate change is worsening gender inequalities and gender-based violence.

This session will convene key stakeholders from the public, private, and financial sectors to identify concrete pathways for scaling proven, high-impact solutions that decarbonize food systems and reduce food loss and waste. 

Highlight the loss of biodiversity and ecosystems as a strategic risk for business, the economy, and society, rather than a peripheral environmental issue.

This half-day summit, convened by Business Sweden and leading Swedish companies, aims to spotlight the transformation of agrifood systems through innovation, collaboration, and human-centered solutions. The event will feature exclusive sessions, high-level stakeholder engagement, and a showcase of scalable solutions across the agrifood value chain. It will also highlight the human cost of inaction and the urgency of building resilience in food systems. 

As part of the roundtable, we will discuss how to support countries in incorporating circular solutions into their NDCs, what is required from different stakeholders to facilitate the much-needed transformation, and how this will enable us to reduce the risk of overshooting the other 8 planetary boundaries as well. How can this also be an important part of the final negotiating text?  

Why should circularity principles be integrated into energy systems, and how can this be achieved?Two best practices examples from the energy sector.

This roundtable will bring together civil society, businesses, policymakers, and community organisations to explore goal conflicts in forestry and land use, and identify inclusive solutions. Participants to share perspectives on climate, human rights, biodiversity, and business interests to shape policy and practice.

Effective multilevel governance depends on using shared data structures to steer climate action. When in place, this transforms static reporting into an operational architecture for data-gathering,  planning, financing, and implementation.

This session explores how industrial electrification is reshaping energy systems, and what technologies, policies, and partnerships are needed to ensure grids can deliver reliable, clean power at scale.

This dialogue will bring together negotiators, business representatives, civil society organisations and the UNFCCC secretariat to explore what is required for transformational adaptation.

Join the Swedish Export Credit Agency, EKN, the Swedish International Development Cooperation, Sida, and the Swedish Trade and Invest Council, Business Sweden as they share and discuss insights from joint projects, specifically within railway development in Africa, where blended financing—combining export credits, development cooperation, and strategic partnerships—has enabled impactful infrastructure development.
